Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
3 Ways To Get Involved:
1. Donate items for the show boxes (collecting from October 20 through November 6): Small toys, hygiene items (no toothpaste), school supplies, clothing items, and other small items that a child would enjoy. Watch this video for ideas and what you can and can not pack.
2. Take an empty box and fill it with appropriate items.
3. Attend the packing party (November 6) and help fill boxes with the donated items.
Brochures and empty boxes are available in the Connection Center. There are also designated boxes for the donated items to be placed in. Be sure to keep the Boy/Girl tag on the back of the brochure to attach to your box. Remember to include $9 for shipping in the envelope in the brochure, or through EZ Give online (if you pay online you can track your box). All boxes are due Sunday, November 17th. Completed boxes are to be brought to designated area in the Connection Center. The story of Jesus will be added to every box. This is truly a simple gift that God can use to make the difference in a child's life! For more information, please contact Derel & Beverly Conley (512.892.2917) or Stephanie ( )
